Forword
While participating in the Delhi Global House Church Summit in November 2009 the Holy Spirit gave me a very specific word for Japan. This was shared with Japanese delegates privately and then publically in the prophetic session where I was asked to participate and speak. The purpose the Holy Spirit gave this word is that it is not about earthquakes rather that believers need to be equipped and ready for a harvest and to have answers because the authorities will not be able to cope with the devastation.
Word
Japan is a hurt nation not a hard nation. Many people have said it is tough and difficult to reach but the Holy Spirit says this is not so! It has a wounded heart that must be healed. It is a nation of workaholics and a nation of fatherless people and the Lord wants to bring about generational change in Japan and restore the generations and bring about healing for many people are deeply scared and wounded deeply hurt by abuse, neglect and a lack of care. They know not where to go or where to turn to.
God is saying that if his people who are called by his name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways he will bring healing to the land. He is placing the responsibility on his people to repent and pray. There will be 5 earthquakes of considerable size and devastation occurring in Japan in the next 5 years; 2 in Kobe, 2 in Tokyo and one on the island of Hokkaido. Much of the practical infrastructure will be damaged and destroyed beyond repair.
The earthquakes will be so devastating that it will bring widespread chaos and the government will not have answers. He wants believers to be equipped and ready.
Because God loves Japan so passionately he has granted 2 more years of relative peace and these are to be years of equipping the leaders and believers of Japan to be fully equipped and ready.
Japan does not need more theology, more seminars and training as such it requires practical equipping in the 'how to' of the gospel.
God is raising-up equippers in Japan and will send equippers from other lands to equip the saints for such a time as this.
The time is short and we must work while it is yet day. 'He that has an ear to hear let him hear' what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church.
Postscript
We must not concentrate on earthquakes but on equipping. While recently in Osaka and Tokyo equipping the Holy Spirit showed me clearly who the key leaders were. God is raising-up ordinary men and women for the work. The Holy Spirit showed me many more things about the culture and what he was concerned about but the word is in essence the gist of what God is saying. Finally all words must be judged according to scripture.
